Those diets are good for 2 things…losing weight quickly and turning you into a b$@tch.
You will never keep the weight off because you didn’t learn to change the habits that made you gain weight in the first place. Eat healthier and foods in their natural state (ie no prepackaged food) and exercise and you will lose the weight.
I’ve lost quickly many times, but every time it has eventually come back on.
why would u want to? why do u want to diet, ppl in other countries dont get food and die and ppl here and USA want to deprive themselves of food and die. what is wrong with the world?!?
There are none. There’s a couple of reasons why diets don’t work. One is that they’re designed to make people lose then gain weight quick. In addition, losing weight using “celeb diets” slows down your metabolism; as you lower your food consumption, your body adjusts by slowing down catabolic and anabolic reactions resulting in something known as a “diet plateau.”
Here’s a few tips:
1. EXCERCISE! Jog around for at least 45minutes, 3 times a week. Your body uses up glycogen for about 15~30min (depending on your metabolic rate) before it utilizes your lipid storage.
2. Choose your food wisely. Eating doesn’t always mean gaining weight. Eating speeds up your metabolism. A regular daily calorie requirement for average people with a sedentary lifestyle is about 1500~1800cal./day. Just limit your meals and try to eat your calories, not drink it.
3. Try to maintain this type of lifestyle even after you gain weight and you will not only look good but you will also have a less chance of getting health complications and a QBG when you hit 50.
Good luck!
Do you want to lose weight *quickly* or *permanently*?
The science of our bodies makes us put weight back on if we lose it quickly. Often we put MORE back on than we lost.
If you want to lose weight permanently, then you have to lose it slowly so you readjust your body’s metabolism. The ONLY way to do this is to reduce calories and increase exercise. There is NO other method that works.
Eat 500 less calories per day, and burn 500 calories per day more than you are currently burning. You will lose 1-3 pounds per week. If you add weight training to your exercise routine, you will burn more calories faster, since more muscle mass requires more energy to use, and therefore burns more calories.
The only reason why “celebrity diets” work is because they dramatically reduce calories, and spend 3 hours a day in the gym with personal trainers. Anything they are consuming makes little difference. Eat all the liquid maple you want – just keep it to 500 calories less than usual and get on the treadmill and run for 30 minutes a day.
I’m 58 and have tried them all, and I think it only works if you are a celebrity and can also afford sly lipo suction and other procedures.
the jenny craig food reeks…specially any meats and are more pricey than eating out daily.,
I have tried water, I have tried that 48 hour thing..all require at least 30 minutes of workout, and maybe a workout coach…I cant remember to take pills, so I have no idea if the akavar “eat all you want and still lose weight ” diet works..though I did buy it and it sits on my desk, I put it there to remind me, but, I only thinkof it as I am shutting down for the night.
Well once you go off any kind of fad diet you will gain the weight back and in places it probably wasn’t before. Its all about making a lifestyle change for a healthy weight and body. Eat healthy, stay active and your body will shed un needed fat at its own pace
