First, you have to get you cosmetoligyst license. You can just go to a local beauty school. Depending on how many hours you put in you can graduate in a year to a year and a half. Then you can work in just about any salon. But to become a celebrity make-up artist you just have to build up clientel and get really involved in the industry.

First go to a beauty school, and after you get a degree, work in local plays or shows. Then, you just work your way up. Good luck!
